How to use Zing

Logging your activity minutes

The real heart of Zing is all about logging your activity minutes.  Keep a note of the physical activity you do and then enter it at your log your activity page. Here's how it works...

 

 

1. Click the 'add button' 

Next to every day in the last 14, you'll see a little 'add' icon.  Simply click this to open a list of activities

 

 

2. Select the type of activity you've done

The list of activities in broken down into categories.  If there are 'monthly challenges' currently running you'll see these at the top of the list in the yellow area.  Choose the closest activity to what you've done.

 

 

3. Enter how many minutes you did

You can enter any time between 5 and 480 minutes.

 

 

4. Select how intense your activity was

Here's how to guage the intensity for the activity.

 

 Low : Does not induce sweating unless it's a hot, humid day. There is no noticeable change in breathing patterns.

 

 Moderate : Will break a sweat after performing the activity for about 10 minutes. Breathing becomes deeper and more frequent. You can carry on a conversation but not sing.

 

 High : Will break a sweat after 3-5 minutes. Breathing is deep and rapid. You can only talk in short phrases.

 

 

5. Click submit

The activity window will close, and you'll see your activity added to your activity calendar.

  

 

 and that's it.  Your minutes are now logged.

 

 

Viewing your results

Once you've started logging your activity minutes you'll be able to see statistics and graphs of your activities on your results page.

 

You can then view results for individual months at the view your monthly results page.  And choose other months by using the green arrows.  

 

 

Awards and downloading certificates

Each month your can work towards awards.  All you do is log your activity minutes and once you've achieved award status for that month you'll be able to download a Zing certificate.

 

There are three monthly awards to go for...

 

 Bronze award for logging 400 minutes

 

 Silver award for logging 800 minutes

 

 Gold award for logging 2000 minutes
