Nordic Walking is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. It’s a great way to get back into exercise, start toning the body and enjoy being outdoors! Nordic Walking uses 30% more calories than ordinary walking so can be used as part of a weight loss programme.
The Minehead group started on Thursday mornings at 9.30am in April and now has 12 members who alternate their weekly walks between Minehead beach and North Hill. If you would like to learn more about Nordic Walking or have done Nordic Walking before and want to join a group contact Colin Johnson at SASP firstname.lastname@example.org or tel 01823 653990.
A second ‘well being’ group has just started also on a Thursday morning at 11am as part of the GP Referral for Exercise scheme which runs at the Beach Hotel. Anyone interested can contact one of the GP Referral for Exercise team on 01643 709778 or e mail Laura Browne email@example.com
